Infrastructure Technology Services (ITS) is responsible for supporting the delivery of one of the core themes within the ITS vision and strategy - a future Private & Public Cloud capability. It's an exciting time to join this fast moving area which aims to become more customer-focused, innovative and agile, whilst allowing change to be delivered more quickly and efficiently.

As part of ITS, the Infrastructure Technology function is evolving its own local Operating Model to complement the wider ITS Operating Model changes resulting from the introduction of the Cloud capability. This includes the formalisation of some new roles and responsibilities.

Within Infrastructure Technology, the Senior Technical Delivery Manager is accountable for the end-to-end business service of a designated, complex Infrastructure Technology platform, or combination of platforms. They are the Bank's primary operational (day-day) contact with the infrastructure platform service provider (internal and/or 3rd party partner) for their designated services, responsible for providing effective leadership for the business, maximizing the outputs and quality of this critical IT capability to meet the needs of our customers.

Role Specific Accountabilities:
1. Deliver live Service to agreed services levels and costs
2. Own and drive the strategy for the platform infrastructure working collaboratively with CIO, AMI and external service providers
3. Drives year on year improvements in the effectiveness and efficiency of the platform
4. To drive maximum value from the suppliers in terms of both service and cost at a measured risk profile.
5. To develop and implement a sourcing strategy that meets the flexible needs of the business and complies with the Group direction
6. To contribute to the overall Infrastructure Technical Services (ITS) strategy and Operating plan.
7. Lead the mobilisation and delivery of strategic programmes on time, to an appropriate quality solution and within budget, achieving benefits realisation requirements.
8. Provide IT solution designs that align with Group's overall IT and business strategy.
9. Ensure Conduct, Compliance and Regulatory expectations are met.
10. Ensure robust management of business risk in line with our client's policy and risk appetite
11. Establish appropriate programme plans, operating and governance structures against overall programme objectives, modifying where appropriate through effective change control processes.
12. Ensure the active support of our client's Corporate Social Responsibility
13. Ensure Colleagues within direct and wider team are aware of fully engaged in Group and business area strategy.
14. Ensure that all colleagues have active objectives and compelling development plans.
15. Manage business relationship into Group IT.

• Proven experience in managing the operational delivery and governance of managed services, including some understanding of cloud service delivery in large, complex organisations (ideally in the financial services sector)
• Deep knowledge of, and experience in managing infrastructure service
Proven ability to develop and implement transformational change (structure, process and service) in a financial services environment

Key Performance Indicators
• Provide cost effective IT application support, maintenance and development services leveraging the IT Global delivery Model.

Building the Business:
• Provide IT Leadership for a Business Area of the Bank aligning Business strategy and IT strategy.
• Deliver technical components for projects being managed through other areas of IT e.g. other CIOs, I&SD.
• Provide development/service to other Head of Systems as well as the area they support

• Provide insight into value and cost of business services to the business.
• Key decision maker within area - actively work with Divisions, technical advisers, systems colleagues and/or other relevant stakeholders to identify

• Provide Colleague and Business Leadership in line with Group IT values and behaviours.
• Ensure that all colleagues have active objectives and compelling development plans.

• Effective risk management and control within timely identification of management issues
