Due to increasing demand by regulators and by internal risk managers, SCB has decided to centralise all Reporting, Workflow, and Visualisation across the Risk verticals under Functions Technology. This will involve the development of a strategic Market Risk platform using the ActivePivot in-memory OLAP cube technology and other enterprise assets (i.e. Hadoop-as-a-Service, OpenShift, Tableau) to build a scalable platform supporting multiple business units. The Business Analyst in conjunction with our Team Leader and the Business Product Owner will be responsible for facilitating communication between the business users and development team in the agile environment. Great data modelling and communication will make this role successful. Strong experience in OLAP technologies and agile development methodology is a must. Key Roles and Responsibilities * Facilitate communication between the key business stakeholders and the development team * Communication with other IT teams (interfaces and data modelling) * Capture and document user requirements in Confluence and Jira * Build prototypes using Excel and other tools * Configure ActivePivot reports and dashboards, * Make changes to configuration and reload ActivePivot OLAP Cube * Review implementation of the user stories as a part of development process Sole representation of the IT team in UK Qualifications and Skills Business Skills * Market Risk management * Basel 2.5 framework (Market Risk sensitivities, daily and stress VaR, SR VaR, IRC) * BCBS 239 principles * FRTB requirements Business/Technical Analysis Skills * Effective communication * Capture, organize and document user requirements * Requirement verification with multiple stakeholders * Translate between business language and IT Software Engineering * ActivePivot in-memory OLAP technology, MDX * Strong data modelling skills * Strong experience in agile development methodologies Software Development * Hands-on experience with Java * Experience in the following technologies: o OLAP: ActivePivot, MDX, XMLA o Programming Languages: Java o Data: Oracle, Hadoop, Spark, HIVE, Presto Experience * A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science (or equivalent experience) * 10+ years of business analysis experience. * Must be hands-on software design & development. * Experience with enterprise scale systems. Non-technical Skills * Proven ability to work within a team environment. * Highly effective verbal and written English communication skills. * Ability to make good / sound decisions and use independent judgement. * Strong reasoning, analytical and inter-personal skills. * Excellent attention to detail and time management. * Great presentation skills.
