Montessori Nursery Nurse and Senior Nursery Nurse - Camberley, Surrey We are recruiting for a Montessori Nursery Nurse and Senior Nursery Nurse to join our clients' fantastic nursery which provides a unique cycle of learning designed to take advantage of the child's sensitive years between birth and 6 when they most intensively absorb information and learn from an enriched environment. The staff are warm and welcoming and give the children a 'home from home' feeling. Job Role: Montessori Nursery Nurse and Senior Nursery Nurse Hours: Full Time Salary: £17,000 - £21,000 (depending on experience and quaifications) Job Description: - To provide a safe, caring and stimulating environment for children - To work in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) and Montessori philosophies, values and policies. - To build links and work in partnership with parents, carers and professionals to promote the wellbeing and education of the children including the school. - Managing the day to day activities of the nursery to ensure that parents and carers of children, are provided with high-quality childcare, which meets the requirements of the Children's Act and the Early Years Foundation Stage Welfare Requirements and in line with Montessori teachings. - To plan and prepare exciting play opportunities that meet all children's developmental needs and stimulate their learning, ensuring full integration of all. - To observe and assess children's development and keep accurate records of their achievements. Qualities Needed: - Well organized and punctual. - Respect and fondness for a child as an individual. - Montessori Qualification desirable. - Experience of working in a Montessori setting. - Good knowledge of Montessori materials and the relevance of observation, comparison, reason, decision, independence and awareness. - Knowledge and understanding of all current, relevant guidelines and legislation, e.g. New Early Years Foundation Stage and Every Child Matters. - Good knowledge of child development. - Ability to work effectively with families, particularly parents/carers. - Good written and verbal communication skills. - Ability to work effectively as part of a team and provide support to other team members. - Ability to communicate effectively with children, parents and other professionals. - Commitment to working in an anti-discriminatory way to ensure equality of opportunity. - Ability to keep a balanced perspective, be patient, and have a good sense of humour.
