Project Manager Salary: Competitive Position: Full Time, Permanent Full Time (37.5 Hours) Location: Egham, Surrey Responsible for managing the delivery of work with both clients and internal departments. You will produce and manage project plans, budgets, statements of work, functional specifications and project reviews, as well as producing and reviewing proposals for the delivery of new work. You will be able to perform project management activities for a diverse range of clients and projects. You will monitor and control the project and oversee quality control throughout its life cycle. The role will include: Managing projects To ensure that all projects are delivered on-time, within scope and within budget. Will manage projects in line with the department’s project delivery process and be responsible for managing and leading the project team and the co-ordination with groups engaged in project work. Will provide detailed project planning and control including developing and maintaining project plans and managing project deliverables. The ability to develop an effective organisation for the project including all the key roles and responsibilities. Financial Control Will manage changes to the project scope, project schedule, and project costs using appropriate verification techniques. Will maintain an average project margin in line with the department financial objectives. Will meet Target Acceptance Dates to trigger Revenue Recognition in line with the Department Plan. Responsibility for the purchase of Equipment / Services in line with Project budget. Risk and Issue Management Record and perform risk management to minimise project risks. Identifying and report issues escalating to management as needed. Client/Vendor Relationships Successfully manage a good working relationship between BancTec and the client. Establish and maintain relationships with third parties/vendors. Project Reporting Successfully manage the relationship with all stakeholders. Liaise with, and update progress to, project board/senior management. Provide regular status reports to customer and project board/senior management. Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation. Additional Support To provide Pre-sales support to assist in the preparation of proposals, bid models and estimates. To provide support to other project teams when required. Quality Initiatives To initiate, implement and support internal quality initiatives that will ultimately have a positive impact on our business. Improving working methods both internally and with clients on a continuous basis. Person Specification Key Attributes: · Good communicator · Good organisational skills · Problem solving skills · Leader and Motivator · Team building skills · Cool under pressure · Ability to delegate tasks · Integrity Essential Knowledge: · A proven track record of successful project implementations. · Project management experience in an IT commercial environment. · In depth understanding and practical experience of project management methodology and process. · Demonstrate an understanding of the PRINCE2 project management methodology. · In depth understand of project management documentation. · Thorough knowledge of MS Project and other MS Office applications. · Able to work at all levels within the organisation; good interpersonal skills. · Effective communication technique, good written skills, high attention to detail, flexible approach. · Experience of inspiring, organising and leading the project team. · Strong financial skills. Desirable Knowledge: · Knowledge of SDLC, Agile or Waterfall methodology · Knowledge of bank clearing or mortgage origination business Essential Qualifications: · Probably educated to degree level or equivalent · PMP / PRINCE II certification or equivalent. Additional Points: · Should be prepared to travel within the UK and Ireland. · Should be willing to stay away from home for periods of time. · Will be based at Egham and will be expected to be in the office regularly.
