Lloyd Recruitment Services are excited to be working alongside a global market leader looking to bring a dedicated, hardworking Material Planner to join their well respected and friendly manufacturing team within their Production Department. The ideal candidate will be someone who can hit the ground running with solid SAP planning experience within a similar role. You will be determining the material requirements for projects, ensuring timely and effect deliveries to satisfy the requirements of the production plan. You must also be responsible enough to independently manage all the associated admin from demand to supply. Duties include but not limited to: To identify the material requirements of projects, reconciling new material demands with existing demands, stock and open purchase orders To initiate and manage procurement and build processes on company MRP system To process Engineering Release Authorisations from release to completion To process Engineering Change Notes and manage the impact on Material Requirements To monitor receipt of materials and keep production management advised of status To cooperate with purchasing department to ensure the timely delivery of materials To liaise with Stores with regard to Material Planning issues affecting stock To ensure that relevant reports are prepared effectively and on time To advise the Production Manager of problems or situations which may affect the efficient running of the department To comply with Health and Safety at Work Act and the requirements of the organisation In addition to the duties and responsibilities listed, the job holder is required to perform other duties assigned by the Production Manager from time to time, as may be reasonably required of them Comply with security in accordance with established policies and procedures of the organisation Desirable Experience HNC/HND in Engineering or related discipline Essential Experience Solid previous experience in a similar environment Computer literate; conversant with MRP systems A working knowledge of ISO9001 Knowledge of electronic/electromechanical devices Previous experience in an assembly environment Knowledge of electromechanical devices Previous experience of working from engineering drawings and written procedure If you feel that you have the required skills to join the team, please send your CV through today.
