Head of Mobile Services and Payment £65k pa plus full benefits package. Based Surrey and Southern UK. Our client are a Global leader in consumer electronics and mobile communications as well as being a household name. They have grown their market share significantly over the last few years basing their growth on technically strong products, the development of models driven by customer need and a support system for retailers and the Channel that is second to none. An excellent opportunity has arisen to join this global brand to Head up their Mobile Services and Payment division. This role involves setting and leading the product/proposition management vision, strategy and execution for their content and services including mobile payment. As the Head of the Mobile Services & Payment you will be responsible for managing a team who take globally created services & develop and launch these in the UK & Ireland. Our client is launching multiple services so you will need to coordinate all work-streams, facilitate decision-making, communicate, and manage project progress and deliverables. You will also need to manage strategic partnerships with banks, issuers, merchants and content publishers for the Mobile Division. Our client believes that the key competencies required for this role are: - Extensive experience and enjoys setting long term vision and strategy, effectively creating and inventing the vision in an environment that is fast paced, fluid and evolving. - Will be able to work closely with channels, customers, technical experts, executive management and the industry to position our client's portfolio as market leading. - Excellent relationship management skills - An ability to create and maintain long-term relationships with customers, internal stakeholders and industry influencers in both technical and commercial disciplines. - Outstanding Product management experience with a proven and demonstrable ability to handle complex product development processes and coordinate various product and service roadmaps across multiple organisations within a complex corporate environment. - Detail orientated with a dynamic approach to workload and projects, plans ahead thoroughly and lays out clear milestones. - Effectively prioritises across multiple organisations and projects. - In depth understanding of the ecosystem and the interplay between different suppliers, partners, developers and channels within the space to deliver complex mobility strategies to customers. - Likes ambiguity and the challenge of simplifying problems to meet customer needs. - Consultative, engaging, and good with people- ability to work within a complicated matrix structure of inter-related teams and lead to ensure that customer needs are met. - A genuine passion for Business and the ability to inspire others to have the same. - Future focused, always looking to identify and leverage consumer grounded opportunities for future profitable growth. - Need to be very much in tune with technology, technological advancements, and current affairs and able to interpret opportunity for our client. To be successful at this position, you need to have strong communication skills and a well balanced view of business objectives and technical dependency with a high level of confidence when negotiating with partners. A strong background in the mobile industry or banking and services is essential. Degree qualified, you will need experience of managing large complex projects and a strong understanding of the payments competitive landscape.
