Senior Manager, Corporate Client Development
At Lloyds Banking Group, our vision is to be the best bank for customers and a career with us means having a role that is helping Britain prosper.
To achieve this, we have a clear strategy in place to make this a reality. We are building on our many strengths: iconic brands, strong heritages and great people. To unlock the great potential in our business, we are becoming more efficient, more transparent, and more responsive to customers. Already the UK's largest community investor, we are giving even more back. Above all, we are putting customers first.
Commercial Cards are pleased to offer an exciting new opportunity to join a growing part of the Bank. Commercial Cards provide a diverse range of products and services focusing on payment and working capital solutions, to customers from Retail Business and Small Medium Enterprises all the way through to the Corporate sector covering Mid-Market (MM), Global Corporate (GC) and Financial Institutions (FI).
The Corporate Client Development team is a team of 10-12 Senior Client Development Managers specifically focusing on clients across the UK with a turnover in excess of GBP25m (MM, GC and FI) and is responsible for providing payment solutions which compete in this market, ensuring they meet customer needs and deliver financial and operational benefits to both the customer and Lloyds Banking Group.
We are currently recruiting for a new Senior Manager - Corporate Client Development to join the Senior Leadership Team for the Commercial Cards business. The role requires a real aptitude and experience in Senior Sales Management, developing and implementing new business strategy, inspirational leadership, customer management, payment innovation, developing people and processes, senior stakeholder management (both internal and external) and the creation of a 'can-do' and client development focused culture.
In this role you will also be responsible for managing the client development team in supporting the needs of clients who by their nature are complex and demanding, whilst also delivering profitable card solutions and business growth, with ownership of the P & L from a Corporate acquisition perspective.
As well as driving forward business growth, you will also need to formulate and manage effective working partnerships with internal and external stakeholders, taking into account the strategic, commercial, market and regulatory context. You will have key engagement with the Commercial Cards leadership Team, Commercial Channels and Commercial Banking teams.
The role also involves managing a large corporate new business function, therefore we require an individual to have experience of direct customer engagement and delivering against new business strategies. It is also important that the individual can translate their delivery into concise briefings, requiring clear articulation and ability to present to senior management.
To succeed in this role your knowledge and experience will display the following:-
*Sales management and senior leadership
*Creation, implementation and delivery of new business strategies
*Track record of achieving income and revenue to agreed targets, including delivery of corporate new acquisition budget
*Strong internal stakeholder management experience, used to develop lasting relationships and obtaining the required commitment to delivery of sales and revenue targets
*Creating a high performing team with a strong leadership culture centred round qualities of envisioning, enabling and empowering people
*Drive external presence of Lloyds through schemes and third parties
If you are an inspirational individual, with a 'can-do' attitude, then this new role may be right for you. In essence you'd be part of the team that can really shape and lead a more customer and brand centric direction for the Group.
If this is the role for you, we'd be looking for you to have a suitable background gained in sales management, corporate acquisition and delivering against new business strategies. Alternatively, a corporate customer engagement background may be suitable with a blend of commercial experience. If you want to be stretched and fulfilled we will help you build a career that will make a difference to you and our customers. Here you'll find opportunities to grow your career whilst supporting the Group to achieve a purpose you can be really proud of.
The successful individual will be required to be in London for 1-2 days per week.
How will we reward you:-
In addition to the salary range quoted our comprehensive total reward package includes a performance-related bonus, private medical care, a car/allowance for managers and senior managers, share schemes and generous contributory pension as well as flex cash pot from which to choose from a wide range of benefits.
