Associate Director of IT IMMEDIATE START 6 MONTHS INTERIM ROLE £80k to £81k Guildford Based Our client based in Guildford is seeking an experienced IT professional on a 6 months interim. Job Propose: Advise the Board and the Executive Leadership team on the strategic development of IT Services and identify how they will support improved service development and key national policies Ensure that all requirements are driving the development of the our clients IT systems Determine and shape the strategic direction of IT Create and maintain the IT Strategy and lead the supporting implementation programme Champion the use of information systems within the organisation Lead the IT function and ensure effective and efficient use of resources: capital, expenditure budgets, and people Requirements: Masters level degree or equivalent Evidence of continuous professional development and Professional qualifications (e.g. ITIL and COBIT) Chartered IT Professional (CITP) or Professional Institutional membership Recognised management qualification or equivalent experience Prince 2 / MSP or other project and programme management certifications Track record of translating strategic direction into deliverable, measurable outcomes Proven track record in successfully managing teams and delivering technical projects Knowledge of local and national IT and modernisation related strategies and policies Significant managerial experience at very Senior Manager or Director level leading and delivering strategic change Successful track record of strategic business planning, integration, development and implementation Evidence of delivering significant and measurable outcomes and achievements at both strategic & operational level Working in a continuous improvement culture, driving value for money service delivery and service development Experience of staff management including PDPs and recruitment Experience of scoping, planning and managing financial IT plans which successfully deliver challenging targets and deliverables Ability to complete tasks within a specified deadline Highly developed interpersonal and influencing skills with the ability to build relationships at all levels Ability to achieve commitment and support through the use of integrity and influence Ability to constructively challenge and handle contentious issues in a professional manner Ability to analyse complex technical issues and provide solutions Possess excellent written and oral communication, presentation and facilitation skills Able to write and present Board level papers Ability to communicate technical concepts and terms to a non-technical audience Flexibility to work the hours required to do the job Vehicle owner For further details, please contact the Guildford, Tate office.
