My client - a market leading Manufacturer of Electro Mechanical and Mechanical products and systems for the Aerospace & Defence Sectors are looking for a Quality Technician to join their Surrey site to assist in ensuring the efficient running of the quality release department. Client Details My client is a market leading Manufacturer of Electro Mechanical and Mechanical products and systems for the Aerospace & Defence Sectors. Description The successful candidate for the Quality Technician role at my clients Surrey will fulfil the following responsibilities - Verifying incoming receipt materials and finished product from sub-tiers. Inspecting finished product prior to release to customer. Performing quality over-check on production parts as required. Maintaining KPI data related to release. Filing of records in an orderly manner to provide easy recall. Preparing customer reports and certificates and raise release order documentation. Maintaining customer delegated release inspection logs. Coordinating dispatch requirements with customer services department and advise the Q.A. Manager / Senior Quality Technician of any problems including resource issues. Providing support to other release technicians. Monitoring concession and production permits, maintain RCN log. Performing mechanical inspection on parts, sub-assemblies and top level assemblies. Using standard measuring equipment, Shadow graph and CMM. Producing and reviewing FAIR's to AS9102 Requirements using Visual FAIR software. Providing support to other department and Senior Quality Technician's. Profile To be considered for my clients Quality Technician role in Surrey the candidate will have to provide evidence of the following - Proven track record in Metrology including understanding of shadow graph and CMM operation. A proven track record as a mechanical inspector (Aerospace or automotive preferred). Ability to read and fully understand engineering drawings. Adherence to written instructions and AS9100 requirements. Good understanding of AS9102 FAIR requirements. A minimum of intermediate ability with Microsoft Word and Excel. Knowledge of customer and regulatory requirements would be beneficial. (Training would be provided if not). Quality engineering knowledge. Knowledge of Maintenance of 5S standards.
