The successful candidate will be acting Number One on Site, reporting into a Contracts Manager. Client Details An opportunity to join a 5 star leading national developer on an interesting and varied Scheme One of the leading developers in the U.K. want to bring in a Senior Site Manager, someone used to running non traditional residential sites. The successful candidate will be acting Number One on Site, reporting into a Contracts Manager. Description The Senior Site Manager will have overall responsibility the site and will liaise closely with the senior team including the Head of Construction to deliver high quality work. The Senior Site Manager will over see all areas of the build from setting out (including roads and sewers), infrastructure works, groundwork, construction through to completion and handover. They must also organise and prioritise the work of the site team, control and co-ordinate the attendance and number of subcontractors on site, resolve queries, problems and conflicts at site level and hold regular site meetings with subcontractors to monitor and appraise key company objectives. It will be key to ensure the efficient running of the site and completion of the administration functions. Prepare weekly reports and input stages into the computer system. Ensure variations are recorded, issued and actioned by appropriate subcontractors and suppliers. Advise the Surveyor regarding all sales instructions. Review the monthly build cost report for the site. Liaise with the Surveyor to understand expenditure. It is likely the Senior Site Manager will be responsible for an Assistant Site Manager, aiding their development and managing their work load. Profile Candidates for this role must have a strong residential background and experience of less traditional projects. They must have a track record of working on challenging projects and work round difficult site logistics.
