Position: Payroll Manager
Location: Salfords, Surrey
Salary: Circa £40k-£50k subject to experience
The Payroll Manager Role:
The Payroll Manager is responsible for managing the activities of the UK payroll function. You will develop policies and procedures for payroll process and timekeeping.
The Payroll Manager will ensure the generation of multiple UK & International payrolls, including labour distribution records, holiday and sick leave accrual and overtime status. You will also be expected to meet all government reporting requirements for payroll taxes, and employer contributions.

Key Responsibilities of the Payroll Manager:
  • Process annual merit increases including backpay calculations if required
  • Administer monthly payroll using to ADP for UK sites, including adding new starter payroll information and employee amendments
  • Deal with the end of year reports - P60’s and completion of P11d’s. Deal with all correspondence relating to payroll e.g. be the point of contact for employee pay queries, tax queries, benefits agency, child support, tax credits etc
  • Administer payroll and liaise with external payroll providers for remote locations, including Herbert Systems, the UAE office, Egypt, Ireland, South Africa and others that may be added. Including calculation of overtime and responding to payroll queries
  • Produce monthly pension report and liaise with Compensation and Benefits Manager
  • Submit Company Car information to Inland Revenue for tax purposes
  • Annual form 42 submission and related activities
  • PAYE settlement agreements
  • Modified payroll and tax equalisation administration and management (if required. This is for ex-pats earning in both UK and home country)
  • Holiday accrual calculation and journal
  • Prepare calculations for the company commission scheme and process into the payroll system
  • Work with travel administrator to ensure compliance with tax law
Skills & Experience Required:
  • 5+ years' experience as a Payroll Manager preferred
  • Experienced ADP payroll system user
  • Experience of managing multiple UK and International payrolls
  • Efficient and highly organised individual
