The Headteacher of a supportive, multicultural Primary school in Canning Town is looking for a passionate graduate to join their school as a Graduate Teaching Assistant, to support SEN students.

This 1-1 Teaching Assistant vacancy is designed for a resourceful graduate who has experience supporting SEN children and can show good communication skills. This post requires a graduate who has the skills to inspire SEN students with their natural enthusiasm and spark the interest of young learners. The school wants to recruit someone who has an honest and legitimate desire to assist children with SEN in their social, academic and all round development.

This Graduate Teaching Assistant position involves joining the school and supporting the learning of a group of low or high ability pupils in individual classes and intervention sessions. In general, you will be accelerating the personal and academic development of SEN pupils as you provide dedicated support both inside and outside of the classroom. Your responsibilities will include working across different year groups within the school as and when needed. A main aim of your role will be to support the specific SEN department.
