A market leading Retail company based in Central London are looking for a Big Data Product Manager to lead product changes to their Big Data platform. You will be driving the road-map of their big data platform, working with the business to prioritise new product features to enable cutting-edge analytics. The ideal candidate will have an excellent knowledge of Big Data technologies and how they work in a business, as well as strong exposure to product, focused responsibilities. The company is a market leader in analytics and you can expect to be working with some of the industry's top professionals in Data Science, Customer Analytics, and Business Intelligence, as well as working with advanced technology including Hadoop, Spark, and numerous visualisation tools.

Their big data platform is built on Spark and Scala in an AWS environment.

THE ROLE - Big Data Product Manager

As Big Data Product Manager, you will:

  • Develop the product roadmap and strategy for the Big Data platform
  • Work with developers and the business in an Agile environment to ensure business requirements are met, and product changes are implemented effectively
  • Work with Data Scientists to understand their requirements and make sure they are met.

YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

The successful Big Data Product Manager will have:

  • Excellent experience as a Product Manager in a Big Data environment
  • Strong understanding of Data Platforms and Data Science from a technical perspective
  • Excellent knowledge of new tools and techniques on the market in Big Data
  • Excellent relationship building and stakeholder management skills
  • Good knowledge of Agile development principles
