Global Network Business (GNB) is the central business unit that defines, develops and brings to market core network products for American Express (AXP). The ATM team is responsible for managing our ATM product and driving low cost access to cash for our Card members and Issuers. Cash usage continues to grow strongly across the AXP network.

The Manager, ATM Product, is responsible for helping drive the continual growth of the ATM business through using data to highlight opportunities, challenges and new capabilities. Working to deliver enhanced customer experience in respect of cash and drive forward initiatives to make our strategy, a reality. These objectives are achieved by building and leveraging strong business relationships, by influencing key internal stakeholders and developing clear use cases and value stories for the ATM product.

Specifically the incumbent will be responsible for:

  • Proactively identify, articulate and drive opportunities and solutions to drive business growth using internal and external data sources, including developing capabilities such as ATM contactless.
  • Articulate insights and trends across the ATM business, both internal and external.
  • Become the owner of the ATM locator, web based tool, including strategic direction, execution of enhancements and ensuring integrity of data.
  • Be the ATM business lead on a number of projects, providing tactical direction and planning for a broad range of projects and programs.
  • Optimization and rationalization of current Global ATM foot print to meet new and evolving card member needs
  • Build a detailed level understanding of the external ATM market place, payments systems industry players including competitor activity and new emerging trends and functionality.
  • Working in close collaboration with key partners to develop and agree the target customer segmentation, service improvements, product offerings/value propositions and required capabilities.
  • Support ATM commercial and relationship management teams, particularly by ensuring key learnings are leveraged across deals and markets.

Required skills:

  • Exhibit outstanding analytical & data manipulation skills to develop strategies that will deliver solid profitable growth to the ATM business
  • Advanced excel skills and knowledge of Microstrategy and salesforce an advantage.
  • Make tactical decisions using sound business judgment, analytical and reasoning skills thinking outside normal frames of reference
  • Strong project management skills with the proven ability to lead a number of projects.
  • Strong influencing and ability to build strong business relationships.
  • Outstanding matrix influencing and management skills, and ability to mobilize direct and motivate resources in multiple markets without direct reporting lines
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize across diverse markets to market or partner driven timeframes.
