Team Profile:
Institutional Securities Technology (IST) is a global team which develops enterprise systems in support of Morgan Stanley's Institutional Securities Group, including Equities, Fixed Income, Commodities, Investment Banking, Research, and Global Capital Markets. The ESTAR group within IST provides technology solutions to the Equities Business.

Role Profile:
This role sits between the Derivatives Trade Capture team and Derivatives Pre-Trade and Pricing Execution practice Areas, which is a global organization with resources spread across over seven locations. We are seeking to attract an exceptional Project and Program Management professional to take on an exciting high profile multifaceted role, dealing with internal technology managers, front-office business unit customers and support services.

The team and role is ideal for someone looking for a strong career development path with many opportunities to grow, learn and develop. Hands on PMO functions would include proving PMO support on a wide range of Equity Front Office projects, reporting and governance duties, developing project plans, managing issues and risks, coordinating the efforts of the development and QA teams, hosting regular status meetings, managing budgets and forecasting, and driving the delivery of projects according to plan.

The role requires someone who is flexible and able to respond to a dynamic business environment, with a focus on delivering quality solutions for the business in a timely fashion. This role suits PMO's with previous experience in Investment Banking.

  • Excellent time management skills, ability to efficiently prioritize and multitask, and work under pressure to meet deadlines and team objectives

  • Must be comfortable working with senior level managers across a global organization
  • Independent & creative problem solving, with demonstrable experience in administering complex cross divisional programmes in financial services industry
  • Knowledge and experience of Project and Program Management techniques / methodologies
  • Experience in managing budgets, and have good understanding of key financial concepts
  • Experience in issue & risk management, and change management procedures
  • Ability to work in a consultative and analytic capacity, to resolve programme execution issues in a collaborative manner
  • Proven ability to influence and challenge status-quo, improve processes and drive results
  • Microsoft Office proficiency, specifically Excel (Pivot Tables, vlookups), PowerPoint
  • Degree educated or equivalent, Project Management qualification highly desirable
  • Excellent MS Project, MS PowerPoint , MS Word, MS Excel skills and SharePoint skills.
