The management of a portfolio of credit risks that attach to the European, Group and Asset Management Credit Committees. All credit risks are to be reviewed in a timely manner, in accordance with the Global Risk Guidelines and in co-ordination with other Credit Lines regional offices
General Description
  • Preparation and presentation of credit committee papers to the European, Group and Asset Management Committees.
  • Monitoring of the European, Group and Asset Management portfolios, ensuring that reviews are carried out in accordance with guidelines and agreed timescales. The GRM Analyst will be responsible for all aspects of the credit review including site visits and the sourcing of third party information and information direct from the buyer.
  • The analysis and recommendation of single risk transactions.
  • Compilation of credit reports and the maintanence of buyer records within QBE's internal systems.
  • Review of the portfolio to identify deteriorating and distressed credits within the European business, recommending remedial strategies where applicable.
  • Review of repayment plans and work outs in conjunction with both the Claims and Risk Underwriting functions.
  • Liaison with Risk & Commercial Underwriting to identify key credits where Credit Committee input will be required. Adopting a pro-active approach to the review and analysis process in order that the business can react quickly to market demand on key names.
  • Liaison with the Global Risk Management units in Australia, US and Asia. Participation in group wide Global Risk Management review and audit initiatives.
  • Participation in European compliance processes including the administration of Credit Committee, Peer Review and Large Loss Review.

  • At least 3-5 years Risk Underwriting experience in a Credit Insurance environment. Experience of the Lloyd's market would be an advantage.
  • Strong analytical and report writing skills.
  • Strong self motivated individual who is capable of working well on own initiative.
  • Ability to work to tight deadlines and manage own workload.
  • Negotiating and influencing skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
