Department Profile
The Operations division is both the first line of defence for protecting Morgan Stanley's financial and reputational well-being, and an essential partner contributing to the firm's growth. Facing off to all Morgan Stanley businesses and interacting with all other parts of the Firm, the Operations division supports a complex, multi-faceted portfolio of businesses in full compliance with regulatory guidelines and the directives of the Operating Committee and Board of Directors. Members of the Operations team have a unique vantage point as the division touches all parts of the business, front to back. One of the largest divisions in the firm, Operations has diverse responsibilities, including correctly settling and recording millions of transactions per day, identifying and mitigating all operational risks, developing strong client relationships and partnering with technology to realize the full potential of IT and e-solutions. Team Profile
The SSBO CTB team is a functionally-aligned project management and business analysis team responsible for driving and delivering change for the various functions that fall within SSBO. The team is responsible for providing process re-engineering leadership to drive improved quality and enhanced efficiency. The team partners with Operations line leadership and Technology to shape product, service and functional strategies and deliver related application solutions. The team also supports key business enablement initiatives as well as client and industry driven product development.

This role is for a Senior Program Lead within the CTB function covering Global Security Settlements and Network Management.
The role will provide leadership to the CTB team, building close relationships with key stakeholders and assuring the delivery of projects within the global program. It will be expected to have the ability to influence at MD level and in industry forums.

Next the functionally aligned book of work there are also Operation wide initiatives that form part of the portfolio covered by this role.

This is a challenging and rewarding role offering the candidate the opportunity to lead a diverse team and work on a varied portfolio of change within a critical and high profile area of the Firm. The candidate will need to be able to understand and articulate the differences between various key infrastructure services and related operational processes and technologies within the Firm.

Primary Responsibilities
The successful candidate will need to be able to:-

1. 1. Provide Program/Project management and Business Process redesign leadership including:
Project definition, tracking and assurance
Work with IT and Operations to prioritize requirements
Manage relationships with key Stakeholders at ED/MD level
Lead Continuous Improvement

2. Demonstrate Project Management skills through the following:
Work with multiple IT leads to ensure delivery throughout the lifecycle of the project
Track and communicate program status to wider team and management
Collaborate with the Project team on change management plans taking users through the change cycle and delivering improved systems and processes
Develop an effective network of stakeholders to facilitate easy integration of changes quickly with new areas of the Firm

Skills Required
Ability to challenge and influence effectively at all levels of the organization
Ability to manage a global team of skilled change personnel
Understanding of the trade lifecycle and the various downstream user requirements of reference, trade and financial data
Demonstrable experience of program/project management and change management principles
Demonstrable experience of Business process improvement
Self-motivated with a strong sense of ownership and accountability for tasks
Ability to multi-task and work in a fast pace environment
Detail oriented and ability to adhere to strict timelines
Proficient in MS-Excel and MS-Visio

Experience in Settlement & post trade internal & external infrastructure
Experience in the finance industry in a change environment
Experience of interacting with a team locally and globally
Knowledge of Program Management processes and directives
Working Knowledge of process improvement methodology, Lean, 6 Sigma or equivalent
Knowledge of basic terminologies used in the financial services sector
Knowledge of MS suite of products including MS Project
