The Operations division is both the first line of defence for protecting Morgan Stanley's financial and reputational well-being, and an essential partner contributing to the firm's growth. Facing off to all Morgan Stanley businesses and interacting with all other parts of the Firm, the Operations division supports a complex, multi-faceted portfolio of businesses in full compliance with regulatory guidelines and the directives of the Operating Committee and Board of Directors. Members of the Operations team have a unique vantage point as the division touches all parts of the business, front to back. One of the largest divisions in the firm, Operations has diverse responsibilities, including correctly settling and recording millions of transactions per day, identifying and mitigating all operational risks, developing strong client relationships and partnering with technology to realize the full potential of IT and e-solutions. Team Profile
Credit TSG Flow Supervisor: The Credit Derivatives Trade Support Group is a team of 8 covering the Investment Grade, High Yield, Emerging Markets, Sovereign, Loans, Structured and Asset Backed credit businesses. This group provides important controls to ensure that P&L generation and risk is accurately captured on a daily basis. This role will be to help supervising the team with a focus on maintaining controls, implementing industry initiatives, process improvement and regulatory reporting.

TSG is in constant liaison with Trading and Sales to ensure all trades are correctly booked in the risk system. We are the conduit for all post execution trade flow streams to various other operational departments.

The successful candidate will add depth to the management team supporting non-standard business lines, assist in identifying and developing operational and IT specifications / requirements incorporating the latest industry initiatives and best practices (e.g. Clearing and compression related activity) as well as owning the production and review of management information statistics. The role provides excellent opportunities for personal development and managerial responsibility growth.
The candidate will also be expected to provide leadership and a point of escalation to the broader trade support group, ensuring the team performs required checks and reconciliations covering the firms trading activity.
The successful candidate will need to build strong working relationships with Trading, Sales, Legal, IT and other Operations departments and is expected to actively involved in the day-to-day requirements of the department.

Primary Responsibilities
Manage compressions - Planning upcoming internal and external compressions
Supervise clearing for Europe - Overseeing the daily/weekly clearing and reporting
Supervise teams -daily controls - Helping with exception based troubleshooting
Credit Events - Liaising with the desk regarding their positions, timelines, P&L calculation and execution.
Industry initiatives - Attend industry and internal calls regarding all market initiatives, liaising with TSG and the projects groups globally to solve problems and share ideas.
Innovate - Liaising with global TSG teams to challenge processes/controls and improving or implementing wherever possible.
Exposure - Ensure global teams are aware of the EU teams achievements and that the flow team keep a close relationship to all desks under their coverage.
We expect that likely candidates may have developed the necessary competencies in a similar role over a 5-9 year period.
Skills Required
Advanced Excel skills.
Supervision experience in a financial institution
