Team Profile
We are recruiting for an Associate within the Foreign Exchange Trade Support Team. The team currently consists of 4 members based in London who are responsible for supporting the London FX Sales and Trading desks. This open position is based in the London office and will sit alongside the existing FX team. Our client base is comprised of Trading and Sales who support Corporate, Hedge Fund, Central Bank and Asset Management businesses based mostly in the UK and Continental Europe. In addition, we are also responsible for all FX trades transacted on behalf of Prime Brokerage clients and other business units including Equities, Private Wealth Management, Commodities and Interest Rates.

Primary Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all risk is fully monitored and mitigated throughout the FX trade flow from front to back. This involves working with trading and sales on funding, trade booking / allocations, NDF closeouts and give-ups to name but some of the daily functions. The position requires daily interaction with sales and trading so the ability to communicate with confidence is essential. Risk is directly touched in front end trading systems so attention to detail is vital. The position will also involve supporting Regulatory Reporting exception management and reconciliation for CFTC, ESMA and Russian Reporting. Exceptions will need to be investigated and resolved in a timely manner and in some cases will need resolved within 30 minutes to avoid accruing non-compliance fines from the regulators. The current team works closely with TA teams in both HK and NY and also assist HK and NY desks with ad hoc queries.


Skills required
The ideal candidate will possess Foreign Exchange experience and will support our aim of providing a superior service to FX Sales and Trading
We expect that likely candidates may have developed the necessary competencies in a similar role over a 3-5 years' period.
Previous middle office / trading assistant experience preferred
Experience in risk management of traders positions
Ability to drive automation and improvements
Superior client service skill set
Meticulous attention to detail
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability and desire to work in a team-centered environment, whilst possessing the confidence to work individually
Relationship management skills
Ability to work under pressure in a time sensitive and deadline driven environment
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Harmony, Reuters and Bloomberg desired
Degree level or equivalent
