A Senior Pensions Product Manager job in Brighton & Hove for GBP50K

Hays are now shortlisting CV's to present for consideration for interview to our major financial services client as they seek to recruit a Senior Product Manager for Pensions products. The job role is based in the Brighton & Hove area of East Sussex.

Job Duties:

Manage delivery of all product initiatives in line with the Product Lifecycle Management process, group policy and TCF principles.
Manage and drive through changes to product pricing and structure to ensure products remain competitive and appropriate to their target market for new and existing customers, ensuring all distribution methods are catered for.
Ensure product structures, processes and communications are appropriate for new and existing customers, with a focus on:
- Providing customers with clear information
- Complying with industry regulations and regulatory change, and
- Mitigating any potential operational and legal risks to which the business might be exposed.

Provide detailed product input at appropriate senior management meetings and interface with other internal business areas and external third parties (such as tied and intermediary business partners, where necessary) to present, discuss and agree product plans and initiatives.
Manage, motivate and develop one or more product managers, ensuring a structured framework is maintained to demonstrate each manager's technical competence to:
* Provide ongoing product support with regard to the requirements of all business areas, in particular Platform & Distribution, and
* Drive through internal and regulatory TCF initiatives.
Seek and use management information, including indicators of potential customer misunderstanding or product/process failures, to ensure the design and operation of products, literature and sales processes are maintained appropriately.
Review the performance of products and supporting services provided to customers, and makes any changes necessary to ensure expected, acceptable standards are maintained.

Qualifications:

Recognised Financial Services qualifications desirable. For example, CII Certificate in Financial Services.

Knowledge:

Pension Products knowledge - including stakeholder pensions and self-invested personal pensions.
Regulation - Detailed understanding of all internal/external regulations relating to Pension products including latest guidance from the FCA on fair treatment of long-standing customers in the life assurance sector. A good understanding of FCA rules and principles and internal policies.
Life & Pension Markets - Good understanding of the wider Life & Pension product markets.
Skills:
Extensive Product Management or similar role in Financial Services, Pensions experience required.
