Are you a confident and engaging ASD teacher? Do you have a real passion for helping every child reach their full potential? Are you able to differentiate your lessons for a variety of abilities?

TeacherActive are seeking an ASD teacher to teach a small class of Primary students. This fantastic school is looking for someone with a structured approach to teaching, thorough in their lesson planning and keen to take a lead role in the development of children who may be non-verbal and/or exhibiting behavioural challenges.

The role begins in September but the school is able to start the right teacher before the Summer Holidays is required. The school is based in New Addington in Croydon.

Prior experience with TEACCH, Makaton and PECS would also be ideal. The school is dedicated to the progress of students' academic, emotional and physical well-being, and teachers who are able to introduce new and inspiring learning concepts are very much welcome.

This is a rewarding role and requires applicants to have a background of teaching children with ASD. The role is FULL time on a week by week contract with the opportunity to go longer term for the right ASD teacher. The School is a progressive team with a new Headteacher, the work environment is positive and fulfilling.

The ideal ASD teacher / Autistic Spectrum Disorder teacher will be:

* A qualified teacher (QTS) with ASD experience
* Resilient and patient
* Able to work with both groups and one-to-one
