Zachary Daniels Technical Recruitment are working with a leading manufacturer of specialist tooling for the Oil & Gas, Energy and Civil Engineering industries. We are looking for an Account Manager based in or around London who can develop end-user relationships as well as motivate a network of distributors.

As Account Manager you will work with the rest of the UK sales team to achieve or exceed annual targets. You will likely work with distributors on day-to-day sales and build relationships with end-users for projects and more technical solutions. You will also maximise opportunities to cross-sell group products where appropriate.

The responsibilities of the Account Manager will include:

- Being the main point of contact for all type of customers; i.e. end-users, distributors and OEM customers.

- Initiating, developing and building professional relationships with all key decision makers.

- Working with customers to solve applications/needs using standard and/or custom designed products.

- Creating strategies and initiatives to grow sales, while maintaining in-depth knowledge of the product line, hydraulic market and business environment including competitor analysis and market trends.

- Proactively managing company generated leads and development funnel to include follow-up and a current status report in the company CRM system.

- Preparation of professional quotations, active follow-up and successful conversion into orders.

- Monitoring of pricing and discounts offered.

- Working with the Key Account - and Integrated Solutions Managers and other local or regional colleagues to develop and implement global penetration strategies within the region.

We are looking for a degree-calibre candidate with knowledge of mechanical engineering and a proven track-record in sales/business development. Whilst Oil & Gas is a core market you may also sell into ship-building, civil engineering and heavy industry. If you have sold specialist tools in the past it would be an advantage. You will need to motivate yourself and be able to operate with the minimum supervision. Ideally you will be based in or near to London
