Our client is a leading distributor specialising in the supply of component parts, spares and cleaning products in the Water, Vending, Coffee Machines, Soft Drinks, Water, Food & Beverage and other niche liquid handling markets. They are seeking to appoint a technical Field Sales Engineer to join their expanding team, covering the South East of the UK, including London. Offering an excellent package with an OTE of over GBP40k, a company car, and other benefits make this an attractive opportunity for an experienced technical Sales Engineer to join a market leader.

Position Overview

The successful candidate will be a high quality individual who is hungry to succeed and is a natural networker/business developer responsible for the growth and development of business within the designated Region.

Day to day the Field Sales Engineer will be responsible for managing the creation of new business and existing business demand. Applicants must have a credible background in a technical field sales environment ideally with experience in handling multiple tier customers within the markets the client operates in (preferred but not essential) to OEMs, Operators and Installer/Engineers with the ability to demonstrate true value creation.

You will have excellent communication and negotiation skills with a 'can do' philosophy to your activity. You must be self-starter who can work autonomously and as part of a strong team in equal measure that is able to keep a cool head under pressure maintaining the ability to prioritise, organise, and plan your activity to achieve results.

Typical Duties

* Sales planning management in a fast paced distribution environment (expectations typically 4 Productive Field Sales Call Days, 1 Administration/Planning day as guide)
* To be the 1st point of technical contact for customers promoting the best solution and package to meet the customers' needs from the complete company product portfolio.
* To meet and exceed the territory budget and monthly business metric targets for visits, quotations, orders and sales.
* Prepare and generate product line quotations meeting company pricing guidelines and customers' logistic needs.
* Provide accurate rolling sales and product demand forecasts.
* Ability to communicate at all levels including suppliers.
* Good general sales process knowledge and the ability to start from Cold.
* The ability to grow the business by generating new leads.
