We have an exciting opening in our Capital and Portfolio Directorate for an experienced Business Accountant to join our team on a 12 month fixed term contract.

We are currently recruiting a Business Accountant (Capital Repairs) who will be responsible for reporting and analysing on the group's repairs & maintenance (Asset & Investment) activity. This key role will see you servicing our asset accounting (component accounting) and reporting to the Asset Management and the Executive teams.

You will be responsible for analysing the expenditure on Capital repairs on a monthly basis as well as analyse business performance.

The key function of this role is to act as the financial lead on the compliance, control and analysis of the repairs Directorate. You will provide advice and help the budget holder understand their spend to date by meeting with the budget holders on a monthly basis.

To qualify for this role you will have experience of working in a finance environment and be educated to a degree level. You will be CCAB qualified or equivalent. You will be vastly experienced in analysis, comfortable building models, undertaking budgets and forecasts with the regular delivery of information to deadlines.

The candidate will be comfortable working alongside non-finance colleagues, especially with respect to promoting budget responsibility. You will be a team player with excellent communication skills and experience of developing working relationships.

You will be strong and competent with accounting systems as you will be responsible for helping with the maintenance of the components and improvements in the fixed assets register.

This job position will be offered as a 12 month fixed term contract. This post is based in Camden at our Head Office. The hours for this role are 35 hours per week.
