International Business School is looking for a French speaking Finance Manager. You will oversee the full spectrum of the day-to-day accounting and cost control, will participate in end-of-year work as well as budget and forecast and will manage the accounting team and accounting systems. You will report to the UK Director of Finance and Operations.

This is a maternity cover role for 13 months starting mid-October.

ROLE:
Accounting:
• Oversee day-to-day accounting to insure clean and smooth audit by validating AP, AR, IC and cash transactions.

• Implement corrective actions/training when needed.

• Quarterly balance sheet reconciliation.

• Fixed Assets:
o Maintain Fixed Assets master data both in Excel and SAP.

o Ensure end-of-year SAP run are accurate.

• End-of-Year:
o Prepare prepayment, accruals, deferrals and other end-of-year works.

o Participate in preparation of external and internal financial statements and management accounts.

o Take charge of the full span of the interim and final audits under the supervision of the UK Director of Finance and Operations

Cost control:

• Maintain accounting controls by establishing a chart of accounts and cost control structure; defining accounting policies and procedures.

• Budget/Forecast:
o Meet accounting financial objectives by creating forecast; preparing a detailed annual budget; scheduling expenditures and analyzing variances; initiating corrective actions
o Quarterly report (internal and HQ): Monitoring revenues and expenses. Collection, consolidation and input of financial data; preparing special reports.

o Guide other departments by applying observations and recommendations to operational issues, always looks for ways to become more efficient.

• Maintain financial security by establishing internal controls. Analyses where funds are being spent (OPEX in particular) and searches for ways to cut spending.

Policies and Systems:
• Oversee accounting systems and purchase order systems. Always look for improvement and better usage of systems resulting in smoother processes.

• Review and enforces financial policies and procedures as defined by the Director of Finance and operations. Deals on a timely basis with any discrepancy and report to DF for exceptional issues. Suggests any additional internal control when appropriate with a view to limit financial risks within the Finance Department and the Organisation.
Other:

• Avoid legal challenges by understanding current and proposed framework / regulations; recommending new procedures.

• Protect organization's value by keeping information confidential.

• Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading
professional publications; participating in seminars and financial club

PROFILE:

French intermediate to fluent, English fluent

ACCA/AAT level 4 qualified or equivalent (DECF and DESCF)
Previous experience in a similar role including supervision of staff (ideally)
SAP or any other accounting software full knowledge.
