Working as an Arrears Officer for a financial services organisation with an excellent reputation, you will work within a small team and be responsible for the servicing of your own portfolio of low volume, high value complex loans. You will be responsible for full case management, including gathering full documented evidence for each case. Arrears Officer responsibilities include:
- Assisting customers with the ongoing management of their account, including breaches of conditions and expired terms
- The first point of contact for customers with a query or that require our support or help
- Answer incoming telephone, letter and email queries and consistently provide positive customer outcomes
- Proactively contact customers in financial difficulty to assess their options for repayment of the loan
- Proactively contact customers to check current situation to assess the likelihood of payment within terms of the loan
- Manage a portfolio of customers through the arrears and breaches lifecycle
- Adhere to internal customer service policy and regulatory requirements - FCA, PRA, Money Laundering, Prevention of Financial Crime, Data Protection
- Undertake projects and ad-hoc pieces of work

The Arrears Officer will have an arrears, collections or servicing background within the mortgage or loans industry. You will also possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a collaborative approach to finding the best outcome for customers, The right candidate will be mathematically numerate, with the ability to prioritise workloads and communicate in a professional manner with both internal and external stakeholders.
