As the Associate Relationship Manager for this new Challenger Bank, you will support the Senior Relationship Manager (SRM) in the development and administration of a portfolio of business Clients.

With each business customer requiring International and Domestic Payments solutions, multi-currency bank accounts or are an MSB, you will assist the Senior Relationship Manager to manage and administer relationships within a designated portfolio of companies.

Measured through your ability to contribute to the SRMs achievement of budgeted revenue and other targets, you will ensure you provide high quality Client service for enquiries/transactions handling, internal reporting and control.

The role has clear objectives, which strictly adhere to the Bankss credit standards and risk appetite, both in terms of lending quality and customer integrity, as well as to all Compliance, Anti-Money Laundering and Financial Crime policies. A good working knowledge of the Clients business, professional delivery, and a high quality service is expected at all times.

As an entry level opportunity into the Relationship Manager role, you will receive training & coaching from the Senior Relationship Manager but you will require a good understanding of Banking, perhaps gained from working in a Bank Branch plus:

- A Degree is preferred but not essential - Business Studies, Finance, Accountancy or Economics although other courses or equivalent experience will also suffice, especially if you have IFS recognized banking qualifications or are currently studying them
- Experience of Sales, Product, Credit etc within Banking

- Some knowledge of international/domestic payments and/or foreign exchange
- Experience in assessment of credit risk and financial statements/analysis
- Understanding of relationship account plans and credit facilities
- Demonstrable ability to interact and positively influence a wide range of people
- Some understanding of regulatory compliance
- A determination to succeed and build a career in Relationship Management
- Excellent communication skills, both written & verbal
- Highly numerate with good attention to detail
- A hunger to learn, improving your business knowledge & taking opportunities provided for training & development
- Able to live & work to the companys Values & Code of Conduct

Day to day duties will vary but typically will include:

- Completing client account opening forms and on-boarding
- Creating profiles for client groups/IDs in systems and update Client static data in a timely,accurate manner
- Confirm that KYC is current and complete initial screenings
- Proactively assist SRM in preparation of account plans and briefing notes
- Undertake research on sector and prepare client pitch-books/presentations
- Propose operational solutions to enhance customer satisfaction
- Ensure that reported revenues are correct
- Arrange and attend client meetings
- Maintaining complete client files for credit related documents, correspondence and non-credit documents
- Organising receipt of information for annual reviews, and ongoing needs (Eg. Analyst reports/Half yearly results) etc
- The preparation of credit applications (for Overdrafts, Loans etc.)
