Chef - Chef De Partie
This is an opportunity to join a new restaurant (opened September 2016) that has been ranked 56th best in the UK (National Restaurant Awards), from an award-winning food writer and chef, on Blandford Street in Marylebone, London. Their food is inspired by their heritage and travels, with flavours and culinary traditions from Britain, East Africa, the Middle East and Asia. The wine and drinks list is focused on sustainable wine making and independent family producers. The restaurant believes in the selflessness of service and the great joy that can come from taking care of guests as if they were coming home. The Role: They are seeking 2 talented & committed Chefs at Chef De Partie level to join their small & lovely team and grow with the business. As an experienced chef you will: - Have a love of international food - Have the desire develop your knowledge with a highly experienced team and broaden your culinary skills - Be able to work as part of a team where pride in your work, attention to detail and consistently great food is the focus - Have at least 1 year's experience in a comparable restaurant - Ideally have experience of working with seasonal products - Understand the restaurant's ethos - Have a 'can do' approach, supporting the team with a variety of tasks and take ownership of your section - Have strong communication skills and be eligible to work in the UK - Love what you do! The ideal team member will enjoy and thrive on working in a tight-knit team, supporting in all tasks, with a focus on providing food with care and thought for their guests' experience. You must have a love of food & wine and a hunger to build and work in a successful restaurant. They are an independent company with plenty of growth opportunities. GBP23,000 to GBP24,000 + overtime & bonus potential.
