The Business

Investment, Risk and Reinsurance

Our sophisticated approach to risk helps clients free up capital. We work in close concert with investors, reinsurers, and insurers to manage the equation between risk and return. Blending advanced analytics with deep institutional knowledge, we reveal new opportunities to maximize performance.
The breadth and depth of data used by the Investment Line of Business in respect of its client servicing operations has expanded greatly over recent years. The Investment Data Team was set up to ensure that accurate and complete data are available when and where they are needed.

The Role

The Investment line of business is looking to hire a data analyst to support the business for the review by the Competition and Markets Authority (CMA) into Investment Consulting.

The review is likely to take between 18 months and two years and there may be opportunities to become involved in other projects as the review comes to an end.

The individual will be part of a small team responsible for WTW's response to the CMA and will coordinate the gathering of data and information across the business including liaison with external advisers.

Key aspects of the role include
  • Building knowledge of the overall investment business
  • Working with several internal teams to co-ordinate gathering and collating relevant data
  • Presenting the collated data in a clear easy to read format to the project team
  • Ensure data provided is punctual, accurate and complete.
  • Providing regular progress updates to management and the project team

Job Requirements The Requirements

  • Minimum of A-Level standard of Education (or equivalent)
  • Effective oral and written communication skills
  • To be comfortable and have the confidence to liaise with people at all levels
  • Ability to work on own initiative when required, as well as in a team
  • A results orientated individual who has a logical and analytical method of working
  • Confident computer user, comfortable learning new tools and programmes quickly
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and other office programmes and an interest in enhancing these skills (advanced Excel knowledge desirable)
  • VBA and/or SQL knowledge desirable
  • Relevant degree desirable
