Income Assistant - Fixed Term Contract until 31 March 2018 (with the potential to become permanent)

About the role
To provide support to the Income Services team. Supporting the team to maximise the organisations income by carrying out administrative tasks including the management of Housing Benefit entitlement notifications; dealing with low level arrears and former tenant arrears.

The ideal candidate will have:
- Some knowledge of housing law and good practice with regards to debt recovery essential
- Self-motivated and able to prioritise own workloads and work on own initiative
- An understanding of welfare benefits and welfare benefit reform
- Front line experience in credit control or income management
- Good IT skills and competent with office applications and housing management systems
