A London based Local Authority is seeking an experienced Manager to join their Assessment service. This is an excellent opportunity to work for a proactive Local Authority which has reduced their locum workforce from 60% to below 35% and this position will help further stabilise the Assessment service.

The Local Authority is one of the most diverse in London offering Social Workers a chance to work with a large range of people which is almost unheard of in other areas of London. Furthermore the high level of child poverty in the borough makes complex cases the norm, however Social Workers in the service report that this makes their work much more rewarding where they are able to clearly see the impact their work has on children and their families.

The nature of these complex cases really drives innovation in the Authority and Team Managers are encouraged to use their experience ideas to help shape the team and service. You will have the autonomy to work with ideas that you feel will help improve performance and the levels of practice in the team.

To be considered for this post you should extensive experience as a Social Work manager. You should also have experience within a Assessment or MASH service.
