About You

The Trainee should demonstrate progression in understanding core accounting concepts. Develop a sound understanding of all applicable laws, regulations and rules associated with Ipes' business activities.

- You will be expected to acquire a sound knowledge of Private Equity and Fund documentation.
- To possess an ability to disseminate information and respond quickly.
- Confidently liaise with clients.
- Ensuring that all work sent to clients/investors reaches Ipes' accepted professional standards.
- You will be expected to acquire, a sound knowledge of accounting.
- A basic working knowledge of Excel and Microsoft Word.
- Target vocational qualifications - AAT, ACCA or similar.


To assist with the preparation of accounts and other related accounting activities driven by client needs and to ensure that all processes undertaken are in line with the Company's procedures.

- All work undertaken complies with the Fund's documentation and relevant regulatory requirements and anti-money laundering regulations.
- Liaise confidently and knowledgably with the clients daily.
- Proactive approach to problem solving.
- Ensure correct recording of revenue.
- Production of management, interim and audited accounts.
- Bookkeeping process and maintenance of ledgers.
- Preparation of carried interest and other calculations in accordance with the fund documentation.
- Gain an understanding of the capital adequacy requirements to enable preparation of relevant calculations.
- Planning of annual audits and liaise with fund accountants to establish timetables.
- Liaise with auditors.
- To manage workloads to ensure that the Company's required minimum chargeability is maintained.
