This successful Hygienic pump company based in Eastbourne is looking for an experienced Manufacturing Engineer to fill a permanent position in their Engineering department.

The role of the Manufacturing Engineer is to be the main point of contact for manufacturing technical issues, whilst working with cross functional teams, the role requires tasks focused on improving existing products under technical direction. Demonstrating initiative, research, inventiveness, problem solving methodologies and independent judgment in achieving department and business objectives.

Experience:
- Qualification in mechanical engineering HNC/HND or equivalent.
- Minimum of two years' experience in product design, fluid flow, rotating equipment, leading projects.
- Use of 3D modelling software (Solid Works)
- Ability to use inspection equipment (CMM, Vernier and Micrometres)
- Proficient with Microsoft office products including, but not limited to, Word, Excel, Power point and Outlook.

Main Duties:
- Working in a team, manage multiple tasks / projects / assignments simultaneously.
- Inspection support
- Arrange for work / re-work on and off of site, support where needed
- Engineering day to day duties
- Develop product concepts, specifications and development plans
- Meet program / project schedules, cost targets and technical requirements.
- Generates and documents product design and development records in accordance with company procedures and guidelines. (i.e. project plans, design calculations, test plans, design specifications, etc.)
- Prepares and presents project and technical design reviews.
- Coordinates design updates and their handover into manufacturing
- Supports catalogue specifications and technical publications.
- Works with Sales, Marketing and Customers to ensure the product solution meets the expectations and requirements.
- Investigates, prepares and implements engineering change notices
- Review technical development and call attention to significant new design concepts, new products and materials which may be applicable to WFT products.
- Assist in training programs
- Willing and able to undertake domestic and international travel in support of business needs.
- Maintain a safe and clean working environment by following applicable procedures.
- Assist in other assignments as required
