I'm currently recruiting for a Senior Women's Economic Empowerment Advisor to join a leading international humanitarian aid charity on a 12 month fixed term contract. Their aim is to fight poverty and injustice in over 80 countries around the world, with a specific focus on the empowerment of women and girls. The charity requires a Senior Advisor to provide high-level technical advice on the delivery and design of a global development portfolio with a focus on market system approaches and their contribution to women's economic empowerment. The role takes a lead in the development of major technical resources, tools and knowledge products to improve practice around market systems to address and overcome some of the barriers that women face within developing countries. The ideal person will have previous experience taking a lead on designing and delivering global programmes. You will have strong project management skills, previous experience in attracting and identifying significant resources in line with fundraising targets as well as experience of budget management. Knowledge and technical skills in designing, leading research initiatives, monitoring and evaluating projects and demonstrating impact is essential. You will also be confident in drafting policy publications. To be considered for the position you will have a Masters in development or related subject or equivalent expertise.
