We act for all of the clearing banks as well as a number of international lenders, mezzanine lenders, real estate funds and various high profile corporate borrowers. Team and Role The real estate finance team sits within banking as a service line and has a well-established reputation within the real estate finance arena. The team continues to build and our continued success story means that we have achieved significant new client wins over the last few years thereby diversifying the client base and allowing our associates to work both lender and sponsor side. With all of this in mind, we would now like to recruit a mid-level real estate finance lawyer to join our growing team. Your new role would be to assist in advising on all types of real estate financings including both investments and development deals. The ideal candidate will have worked in a specialist real estate finance team within a top tier firm in the City and will have experience of leading transactions which involve both bilateral and multi-banked syndicated facilities. The successful candidate will report directly into Madeleine Clark who heads up the real estate finance practice across the 3 offices. Highlights Advising a leading student accommodation provider on a GBP200m+ transaction Acting for a leading logistics developer on a Euro facility to fund the acquisition of property located in Europe Advising on a new stretch senior facility funded by Aeriance to refinance the costs of acquisition and on-going development costs associated with the conversion of a former brewery head office. Acting for a large property developer on a Euro facility to refinance the Fairmont Hotel in Monte Carlo Supporting Santander UK plc in relation to a term loan facility being provided to assist a borrower in funding (along with mezzanine debt, and equity) a real estate acquisition of a hotel property Technical skills and experience As a guide, due to the nature of the work and the structure of the team, we are looking to appoint a lawyer with at least 4 years' PQE in this area, although we will consider candidates with more or less experience. You will have a proven track record in real estate finance, gained at a top tier firm. You will be working on a high level, complex matters that require strong technical skills in this practice area. You will also have direct client involvement and be encouraged to be involved in business development.
