A Behaviour Mentor works on a full-time basis supporting students behaviour and learning inside and outside of the class, this is primarily a class based position however its very likely you will end up doing 1:1 withdrawal sessions at some stage in order to maintain the progress of students behaviour and learning.

A Behaviour Mentor is a tailored intervention role that benefits the schools we work with. It has been designed to help pupils reach their full potential as students are likely to attend a Pupil Referral Unit, SEBD School or an Alternative Provision or Charity. As a Behaviour Mentor, your role will be helping challenging students overcome their behavioural issues, whilst acting as a role model and someone to look up to.

The role of a Behaviour Mentor is to work with provision or school staff and other agencies to provide support to students who need help overcoming barriers to learning, where behaviour and attendance issues are a cause for concern. The intention is to bring about sustained change with individual pupils, to improve of their behaviour and attendance
