Job Title: Clinical Account Manager

Job Purpose

Manage the discharge process with our customers within a regional directorate for all new patients to ensure a smooth transfer of patients from hospital to home and the ongoing clinical management of existing patients in line with agreed service levels.

Main Accountabilities

Agree nursing service levels for patient care with business accounts and work in partnership with the Resource and Capacity Planning Manager in line with company strategy to ensure a safe, efficient and effective service with the appropriate resource in place.

Assess, plan and implement the nursing requirements of patients to secure safe discharges into the community working within customer agreed protocols and guidelines.

Act as the ongoing central point of contact for key accounts regarding patient requirements to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and patient safety.

Contribute to the development of the nursing strategy as a member of the senior nursing team in order to deliver against the overall company strategy.

Support continuous improvement initiatives across the directorate and wider nursing team, making suggestions for growth and improvements in order to improve compliance, efficiency and best practice.

Provide accurate management information and reports for internal and external customers in line with KPI requirements to inform business and customer decision making.

Deputise for the Regional Nurse Manager or Team Leader and act as a professional resource and mentor for team in order to maintain a seamless service and encouraging personal and professional development.

Work cross-functionally with sales and business development to promote the nursing service in order to achieve increased sales, maintain loyalty and increase brand awareness.

Support the clinical nurse advisor bank team in order to fulfil training and administration needs

Expenditure Responsibilities

No budget responsibility.

Performance Measurement

Performance will be measured during one-to-one meetings and also annually using the Competency Performance Review document.

Experience & Qualifications

Registered Nurse Level 1 with significant specialised nursing experience preferably with community experience.

Project management experience preferably gained within a commercial environment
