The British Council Finance Analyst - Grant & ODA Reporting We are currently recruiting a Finance Analyst for the British council, the UK's international organisation for educational opportunities and cultural relations. This role will be central to the development of a robust and transparent reporting/planning and monitoring procedures around an increased grant spend of up to GBP500 million to key government stakeholders. A key part of this role is the ability to build relationships with finance & non-finance staff across the organisation. The organisation is aiming to be more commercial in their approach whilst maintaining its public service ethos and charitable purpose. Package: GBP42,000 - GBP47,000 basic salary Generous Pension 32 days annual leave Flexible working The role: Responsible for the development of excel and SAP processes around Overseas Development Assistance and grant related spend Monitor and understand the impact changes in their cost allocations will have on reporting grant funded activity through detailed modelling Working closely with the UK and regional finance teams to ensure consistency and alignment of grant planning activity Work closely with the strategy performance and insight team to ensure ODA tagging is aligned to policy and up to date on SAP Occasional travel outside the UK might be required with this role The candidate: Fully qualified Accountant Strong financial modelling skills Excellent excel skills Experienced in financial planning & analysis, including management information reporting Good analytical skills Good communicator and able to build relationships across all levels
