The Global Practice Management System (GPMS) will go-live in September 2017 with the implementation of the SAP / Fulcrum RDS solution across our global Firm (excluding South Africa). The Community of Excellence (CoE) is a key element of the permanent infrastructure that will support the ongoing management and improvement of our new business platform. The CoE will not be a physical entity, rather it will comprise of senior business leaders and process owners from across various regional offices. Wherever feasible this service will be accessible 24x5 due to the mission critical nature to NRF of the service being supported. The Role Reporting to the Head of CoE, the Matter Management Process Owner will provide leadership, governance and support for the systems and processes relating to the matter management solution. This will include leading and supporting the implementation of the system, driving transformational change that will enable fee earners and pricing teams to quote, budget and monitor matters and improve both profitability and services to clients. He/she will manage a Matter Management Process Lead. Responsibilities Post go-live / Stabilization Support the stabilization of the GPMS system post go-live in the Matter Management area Support the global transition of the business to the GPMS system and processes post go-live Ensure the provision of training and expert knowledge regarding the Matter Management business process and standard operating procedures to business users Diagnose and support the resolution of system defects identified by users during stabilization Support regions adoption of global Matter Management policies and standards across the global Organization Other activities as directed by the Head of CoE / Director of CoE Post Stabilization Ensure operational performance of the Matter Management processes meets the required levels Execute internal process audits to ensure compliance to global policies Provide training and expert knowledge regarding the Matter Management business process and standard operating procedures to business users Support the continuous improvement and evolution of the Matter Management global business policies and processes in collaboration with senior stakeholders Support the delivery of new functionality and processes using the GPMS system Support regions adoption of global Matter Management policies and standards across the global organization Work alongside NRF regional staff and third parties to ensure continuing stability of the GPMS system Diagnose and support the resolution of system defects identified by users Contribute to the GPMS knowledgebase Coach and mentor CoE team members to support succession planning Other activities as directed by the Head of CoE / Director of CoE Qualifications and experience An undergraduate degree in finance, accounting or related field Expert level knowledge of the GPMS business processes and systems Expert level knowledge of legal process best practice A high level of computer literacy and competence including MS Excel, Visio and Project Strong communication skills and ability to articulate key messages and milestones to all levels of stakeholders Good problem solver with a logical and methodical approach to issues Excellent oral and written communication skills with strong attention to detail Flexible approach to working hours and travel Positive, committed and prepared to use initiative and learn Ability to take responsibility and work under pressure with multiple tasks Willingness to work as a member of the team and the ability to influence the team Ability to successfully collaborate with various regional stakeholders to achieve results Ability to analyze and design business processes and performance measurements Experience designing and implementing enterprise integration architectures Ability to travel to NRF regions Closing date 22 September 2017 Salary range GBP120,000 - GBP150,000 Diversity and Inclusion At Norton Rose Fulbright we value difference and promote a culture of respect for each individual.
