An international health charity in London, have an urgent opening for a Senior Resource Mobilization Officer on a 3-4 day week for 4 months, to support the organisations fundraising via resource mobilization, relationship management and bid writing support.JOB PURPOSEWork with team to increase and diversify the organisations Secretariat's funds from European donor governments.To increase knowledge and understanding of donors processes and systems especially restricted funding.To build credibility, ensure relevance, and develop and strengthen relationships/ networks that increase ability to raise new resources from new donor sources.KEY TASKSTo support the development of project proposals for core and restricted funding with Central, Regional Office and Member Associations' staff including developing, reviewing and editing log frames, budgets and narrative text as per the donor requirements.To proactively prepare the organisation for future calls for funding applications including tenders, expressions of interest and requests for proposals, from the public and private sector, likely to include supporting the formation of programmes, consortia and pre-teaming agreements which are in line with donor-priorities.To review, monitor and document donor funding, policies and trends and share with Secretariat and with Member AssociationsTo work with staff at the Central and Regional Offices and Member Associations to ensure all contractual requirements are met including meeting reporting deadlines.To contribute to publications as appropriate.To build and maintain positive relationships with all internal and external staff and contacts.To contribute to the development, implementation and review of Resource Mobilization strategy.To ensure gender is effectively mainstreamed within the remit of the post and in line with Gender Equality Policy.To become familiar with the Federation's Health and Safety Programme and Guidelines for using Visual Display Units. To do everything possible to ensure a healthy and safe working environment, including following instructions and guidance.To undertake any other reasonable duties as may be requested from time to time.SKILLSExcellent interpersonal skills required to network with contacts for whom English is not the first language. Tact and sensitivity essential.Excellent written communication skills essentialExcellent time management skills required to meet tight deadlines essential.Good analytical skills essential.Good IT skills to include Excel, Word and use of databases essential.Competent in use of logframe desirable or developing projects essential.Understanding of Official Development Assistance (ODA) channels and processes, essential.Essential: fluency in English.Essenatial: fluency in one other European language relevant to the country(ies) in which the position is located.Desirable: written and spoken working competence in other European languages.
