Senior Front-End Developer - 6 month FTCGBP35,560A homelessness charity are looking for a Senior Front-End Developer to design and develop web solutions for the charity s marketing, fundraising, policy and commercial teams.Key responsibilities:- Create web pages, document types, data types, stylesheets and additional functionality onthe website which is run on an Umbraco .Net content management system (CMS)- Help to manage the CMS through writing and maintaining clean code and a logical structure- Engage with colleagues in Marketing and other teams throughout the charity from the initialplanning stage of a project and manage projects through to implementation- With guidance from the Digital Manager and other Senior Developer, manage projectsthrough the briefing, design, development, testing and rollout phases ensuring that gooddocumentation is maintained throughout- Ensure that all solutions are mobile-optimised and tested on a variety of devices- Maintain a clean codebase through implementing and improving our workflow process usingGit and Visual Studio- Help develop our digital environment through keeping up to date with latest technology, code libraries etc- Create visual assets for social media and other online channels- Training colleagues on how to use the website CMS.Person specification:Essential:- Demonstrable background in digital design/development or related discipline.- Detailed knowledge of HTML5, CSS and javascript- Experience of using JS libraries such as jQuery, createJS- Good problem solving techniques, the ability to work with and around the limitations of aCMS- Experience of the .Net MVC framework, with a focus on C# and Razor- Solid design skills and experience with Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign and relatedpackages as comfortable providing a good visual to a client as you are compiling the codethat makes it work- The ability to understand how your work fits into the bigger picture, how digital worksalongside print design, social media and other communications channels- A constant commitment to learning new skills.
