The Campaign Against Living Miserably (CALM) is dynamic organisation dedicated to the prevention of male suicide, the single biggest killer of men under the age of 45. We campaign to raise awareness of this issue and to promote culture change, so that more men feel able to open up and take action to live positively. CALM also runs a professional helpline and webchat service which supports 6,000 men each month.

Following a period of rapid growth, we have created this new role to focus on the development of content in-house and support our growing programme of campaigns and communications, as well as ensuring CALM's fundraising and engagement activities are well resourced. This is a creative, multi-disciplinary role operating the heart of a fast-paced, growing team. It is well-suited to an individual who thrives when working agency-style across multiple briefs and managing competing priorities.

A quick grasp of and flair for the CALM brand personality and tone of voice is essential, as this role produces content for our key channels in web and print. This role will embrace the CALM community's wealth of stories, imagery and UGC to create compelling, engaging, authentic content which speaks to men on their own terms and on their own turf.

  • Managing additional external production support where necessary (volunteers and agencies)
  • Contributing to content capture briefs; occasional content capture - photography, videography, audio recording
  • Contributing to the ongoing development and maintenance of CALM's brand and tone of voice
  • Contributing to CALM strategy for creative production and content curating/creation
  • Supporting the Office Admin Assistant to secure and maintain relationships with printers for timely and cost-effective production
  • Supporting quarterly CALMzine production: magazine layouts, repro for illustrator and artist contributions, building templates
  • Managing archive of audiovisual content captured through CALM campaigns, events and milestone moments
  • Maintaining ongoing archive of CALM collateral and assets including permissions and licensing
