Recruitment Marketing & Communications Manager - Peerpoint
Job description We are seeking a Recruitment Marketing & Communications Manager to join the Peerpoint Sourcing & Recruitment team. Consulting or contracting is a relatively new concept for lawyers, so whilst Peerpoint is the privileged position of being able to draw on A&O' premium brand positioning, we also need to invest strongly in raising the profile and attractiveness of consulting to top tier lawyers. This role will therefore be key to Peerpoint's long term success. Reporting to the head of the Sourcing & Recruitment team at Peerpoint, this role will be responsible for raising the profile of Peerpoint in the market, and attracting lawyers to join our panel of consultants or our wider networks/communities. The successful candidate will have strong marketing experience, ideally gained in a professional services or recruitment environment. The primary focus of the role is to drive talent attraction and marketing strategy, so knowledge of talent acquisition strategies from a marketing perspective would be helpful but it is not essential. The nature of Peerpoint's business is that marketing and communications activities tend to serve to raise awareness with both lawyers and end clients and this role is likely to eventually have a wider role in marketing and client activities. There will also be an important role supporting Peerpoint operations in Asia Pacific. The post-holder will bring marketing capabilities to bear across multiple channels including our website, the legal media, LinkedIn and social media. They will have an important role in building networks, building communities, creating or commissioning content and managing Peerpoint's thought leadership programme, as well as ensuring consistency with Peerpoint's brand and messaging. The position will suit an individual who is adaptable, resilient, collaborative and thrives in a fast-paced environment. This role is being offered on a full time permanent basis. The role does not currently include line management responsibilities, although will oversee the activities of a number of other team members, and line management is a prospect for the future. Role and responsibilities The Marketing & Communications Manager is responsible for all talent acquisition marketing activity. They will work alongside the Recruitment team and closely with the Consultant Relations team to support all recruitment and networking campaigns and events. They will proactively build relationships with external media channels to position Peerpoint as a thought leader in our field. The successful candidate will help to raise the company profile and cement Peerpoint as the market leader in our field where we are known as the 'go to' provider for the best consultants and the highest quality work. The key responsibilities of this role include: Strategy and management Working with the Management team to establish and implement Peerpoint's recruitment marketing strategy. Day to day responsibility for delivery and operations of the strategy to create general market awareness and visibility for the Peerpoint brand. Maintaining a rolling marketing programme covering all channels and content, from broad visibility marketing to targeted direct sourcing campaigns. Coordinating with the Allen & Overy marketing, business development, brand and PR teams. With the Management team, and particularly the head of Clients, manage the day to day application of the Peerpoint brand. Campaign design and marketing toolset Maintain a Peerpoint "marketing toolset" which should be usable by Peerpoint globally. Advise on how to apply the marketing toolset to design all recruitment marketing campaigns, including timing, channels, free vs paid for, content etc. Again, this advice will be global. Execute the strategy for each campaign in the UK and support international campaigns. Channel Management Manage all marketing channels, including both print and digital media. Maintain the Peerpoint website and other public presences, including LinkedIn company and careers pages. Manage Peerpoint's social media activities, particularly from a recruitment perspective, which will include LinkedIn and Twitter, and may in time include others such as Facebook. Building external media relationships for paid and unpaid content, to develop partnerships, for sponsored events and to syndicate content to. Book and manage all advertising space with external suppliers. Coordinate Peerpoint's thought leadership activities. Liaise with other Peerpoint teams to build an annual events timetable and support the team with relevant preparation. Build and deliver a marketing strategy for each event. Work with the management team to ensure that all activity can be tracked, measured and reported on for cost and efficiency. Any experience of Google Analytics, or platform analytics on Linkedin, Adwords or Facebook is helpful. Keep track of new and alternative marketing channels and introduce them to the management team. Content creation or commissioning Work with the Management and Recruitment team to develop marketing collateral and ensure it is updated regularly. Engage copywriters, external suppliers and contractors where necessary, including for the production of video content. Help the recruitment team to write and list all job advertisements across all channels. Assist with other activities such as conducting surveys, writing and sending newsletters.
