King's College Hospital Charity works to improve the care offered to patients and service users of the King's College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust by fundraising and giving grants that enhance services and facilities, support research and development, and improve the working environment for staff. The Charity is a catalyst for innovation and excellence in the Foundation Trust, supporting advances in its world-leading clinical services. The Charity funds projects which improve every aspect of health; it does not replace core NHS funding, but instead, funds projects which go 'above and beyond' NHS-funded services to deliver the best outcomes for patients. Be challenged King's College Hospital Charity has recently been created to raise funds for the Foundation Trust and is now building a fundraising team capable of realising their collective ambitions. The Senior Trust & Foundations Manager raise funds from grant making trusts and charities, company foundations, public sector funders and lottery bodies. Bringing first class stewardship experience, you will maintain positive relationships with funders, ensuring all obligations under grant agreements are fulfilled in a timely manner. In conjunction with other senior fundraisers, you will develop cases for support and ensure they are effectively tailored to relevant funders' grant strategies. The role will also contribute to the Charity's current GBP2.6m major capital appeal for a new Critical Care Centre due to open in April 2019. Be involved Coming from a background in trust fundraising, ideally within a health/medical charity or higher education institution, you will have experience securing gifts at a six-figure level. Our Senior Trust & Foundations Manager will be a skilled communicator. Clinical projects can be complex, so you will need the ability to understand and communicate scientific/clinical propositions to a range of funders. We're seeking a pro-active trust fundraiser able to spot opportunities and build a high performing income stream. There will be a tremendous amount of support to do that, so we need somebody capable of working with senior stakeholders including trustees and clinicians to unlock personal relationships with new funders.
