Based in our London office but with travel around the UK and occasionally Europe, this is very much a hybrid role switching between sales engineering and managing the technical enablement of our channel partners. The role would ideally suit someone who is currently in a Sales Engineering role or in a technical account manager / enablement position with the ability to vocalise technical detail in a simple concise manner. Any previous training experience would be a great asset.

Your key objectives will be to:

* Manage the partner technical enablement program for the UK.
* Roll out the Mimecast certification program to our Channel Partners, with the support of the Partner Programs Director.
* Establish and grow an engaged and active partner technical community.
* Help our Channel Partners improve opportunity quality, win more deals and grow their Mimecast base revenue.
* Work closely with the internal content creation teams to make sure the material and business messages are up to date and of a high standard
* To be successful you will be passionate, results oriented and demonstrate outstanding technical ability. As a trusted advisor to partners and customers alike it is essential that you are comfortable articulating value propositions at an appropriate level for your audience. You should also be comfortable with presenting at events, both business and technical.

Key Responsibilities:

You will primarily work with the UK based Reseller Partners and Managed Service Providers. The role provides technical guidance, advice, support and training to Mimecast Channel Resellers and Partners across UK and mainland Europe by means of enablement and technical sales support with their customers.

The primary objectives of the Technical Enablement Manager is to:

* Evangelise Mimecast solutions and technology in the Mimecast Channel.
* Champion the Mimecast technical enablement model within our partner community.
* Ensure the certifications and training content are up to date and public facing.
* Build and maintain a strong System Integrator relationship to maximise Mimecast exposure to their solution architects, technical implementation and technical support teams.
* Support technical integration with partners regarding new go to market initiatives.
* New partner on boarding and enablement.
* In order to achieve the primary objectives, you will work closely with several teams including (but not limited to) Global Sales Engineering, UK Partner team, Customer Experience, Service Delivery/Support, Professional Services, Engineering, Sales and Marketing. Your daily activities could be made up of some (or more) of the following:
* Working closely with the Channel, Programs and MSP directors to roll out a successful channel template and corresponding certifications.
* Work with internal teams generating training material for partner training modules.
* Working closely with the Channel Sales Engineer to bring on new partner and MSP's including onsite training and enablement, either through Webinar or Onsite.
* Drive the Mimecast certifications and public awareness of these as well as actively enforcing the minimum requirement for reseller status.
* Working closely with our larger SI's in the early design phases and elevating yourself into becoming the go to technical contact for queries and escalations.
* Mentoring and assisting partners on Pre-Sales engagements through post-sale success planning.
* Managing the Mimecast Partner Education Day technical programme and content for the day.
* Working closely with the European teams to build the partner model in Europe and manage the Digital marketplace tools that are currently available.
* Running regular update and new release webinars for the partner community to keep them informed and upskilled.
* Participate in/lead initiatives which may improve Mimecast's overall positioning in the market with partners, customers and analysts.
* Build, maintain and manage an actively engaged Mimecast technical community.


Essential Skills and Experience:

* Demonstrated track record of managing technical partner relationships.
* Active experience working closely with Channel partners and their enablement requirements.
* Experienced at working in a sales environment, especially indirect sales.
* Demonstrable commercial / business acumen.
* Ability to present technical concepts in a confident and articulate manner tailored to their audience.
* Superior analytical and problem solving skills.
* Excellent working knowledge of email technologies, ideally Microsoft Exchange Server, Office 365/Exchange Online, Lotus Domino, IBM SmartCloud, GoogleApps for Business.
* Excellent working knowledge of corporate and enterprise IT Infrastructure including (but not limited to) Active Directory, DNS, Networking, TCP/IP, VDI, Citrix, Terminal Services, Application Virtualization.
* Ability to build internal relationships that enable them to gain input and resources from multiple teams/disciplines to achieve the desired objectives.


* Any of the following will prove advantageous to applicants that have them:
* Experience working in a training environment
* Any previous product evangelistic experience
