Children's charity offering a fantastic opportunity for a senior manager to lead their fostering service across the South East.

The fostering and adoption charity has a strong reputation for providing a child-focused service, which ties in with their ethos of being a non-profit organisation. They have an opportunity for a strong senior manager to lead them through legislation changes, so demonstrable experience of leading an organisation through cultural change will be key.

You will be a joining highly regarded organisation with a high calibre of staff. You should be able to demonstrate strong leadership skills within a large organisation.

Your role will encompass the operational delivery of the service as well as the strategic vision looking at fostering and adoption in a wider frame. You must have sound budget management experience with a proven track record of effectively allocating resources. This is a charity, but sound business acumen is key in delivering a high level of service.

With key national changes in adoption, you must have sound knowledge of adoption legislation. Ideally you would have worked in agencies during regionalisation.

You will be key in maintaining and developing relationships with local authorities and other key external contacts, so you must have experience to evidence working at a strategic capacity.

You must also have experience of leading OFSTED inspections.

Safeguarding Lead

As assistant Head of Service, you will have sound understanding of safeguarding policies and procedures and ensure that the agency adheres to these standards.

Business acumen

You will take the strategic lead in key decisions for the development of the fostering services. In a competitive fostering market, your role will ensure that the IFA is the vanguard of service delivery. You must find the right balance of making sound commercial decisions with economic efficiency, while keeping the welfare of children at the core of new developments.

You must have in depth knowledge of fostering to be considered for this post.
