KIDS is a national charity with over 40 years' experience of supporting disabled children, young people and their families. We are currently recruiting for an enthusiastic Senior Learning Practitioner to deliver a Portage-based home visiting service to children under 5 who have special educational needs/ disabilities. You will assist with the running of two stay and play sessions in Camden and work within a multi- professional team. Senior Home Learning Practitioner Location: Camden, London N1 Salary: GBP23,775 - GBP25,414 per annum Hours: 36 hours per week - (we also welcome part time applicants) Contract: Permanent Key Responsibilities Build partnership with parents Make regular weekly visits to family homes With the Coordinator or another member of the team run a weekly Portage group Manage own case work Set out intervention plans to include - weekly activities, reviewing progress and producing relevant written reports Keep accurate records Co-ordinate/attend Team Around the Child meetings Contribute to/initiate Common Assessment Framework Participate in Multidiscipinary assessments and interventions Contribute to KIDS Portage network Understand and comply with all relevant legislation, policies and procedures for working with children Person Specification NVQIII or equivalent in early years education Thorough knowledge of early year's child development Understanding and use of developmental tools for assessing children Experience of working with parents with their disabled children birth to 5 years Experience of structuring children's learning If you meet the above criteria we would like to hear from you!
