Primary Purpose of the Role: You will manage and independently check the delivery of packages of signalling design, in line with the scope of works, the phasing of works on site. Producing book wiring, bills of materials, design risk assessments Skills (underpinning Knowledge) Multidisciplinary engineering expertise, with specific knowledge of the domain, infrastructure, Systems Integration practices and the disciplines utilised on the project.Ability to develop innovative and low risk practical engineering strategies to manage a complex project through its lifecycle. Strong knowledge and proven application of Engineering Project Delivery and processes across the full project lifecycle. Sustain good working relationships with staff, peers and managers, customers and stakeholders.Strong appreciation of Safety and Safety Assurance within the Engineering discipline and Domain and working knowledge of CDM regulations.Familiarity with project management and delivery processes and practices, commercial acumen and a robust approach to budget and schedule control. Independent checking of signalling designs in accordance with standards and internal procedures. You should possess the following skills, experience and knowledge:Proven signalling engineering experience, including senior responsibility; Appropriate technical qualification or equivalent IRSE Principles Designer Licence 1.1.150D or 1.1.130; 1.1.550 or equivalent IRSE Signalling Design Verifier Licence 1.1.160 or equivalent; Registration with the IRSE, ideally to Member level; Extensive knowledge of signalling principles;Has a full understanding of the Engineering lifecycle and its processes.Current knowledge of signalling design processes Extensive knowledge of LU and or Network Rail standards; Essential Qualifications and Certification: IRSE Principles Designer Licence 1.1.150D, 1.1.550, 1.1.160 or equivalentHND/Engineering Degree or equivalentMember of the IRSE This is an excellent opportunity to join a world class organisation.
