At LanguageLine Solutions we currently have an opportunity for a Business Development Manager to join our expanding team based at Canary Wharf, London. The successful candidate will join us on a full time, permanent basis and will receive a competitive salary depending on experience.

LanguageLine Solutions’ UK operation is part of the worldwide LanguageLine Solutions group with global headquarters in California and European headquarters in London. Our client portfolio includes over 25,000 organisations from around the world, ranging across all industry sectors including finance and banking, insurance, legal services, healthcare, government, emergency services, manufacturing and engineering.

The Business Development Manager will develop our service across key sectors through predominately outbound sales activity with existing and new customers.

Key Responsibilities of our Business Development Manager will include:

- Researching and building call lists for daily cold call telemarketing campaigns.

- Think of innovative ways to reach new translation users.

- Building a strong network of business relationships to leverage revenue generation potential.

- Negotiate and agree terms of business with client; provide pricing and service information/set SLAs.

- Update SalesForce on a daily basis to document lead creation, account activity, pipeline status and customer communication.

- Deliver against sales initiatives and targets; keeping phone activity levels high, meeting clients and tracking conversion against targets.

- Proactively follow up on inbound enquiries.

- Maintaining and establishing contact with existing customers on internal data base on a daily basis, or as required.

- Prepare for weekly team meetings to discuss imminent opportunities, pipeline and revenue forecasting.

- Develop and maintain strong communication and business relationships with LLS departments and personnel.

What we’re looking for in our Business Development Manager

- Degree is preferable.

- 3 years + of business to business sales experience.

- Excellent telephone manner.

- Exposure to/interest in languages is preferable.

- Thinking outside the box.

- Knowledge of new business/account acquisition.

- Client focussed.
