My client is a leading provider of investor communications and technology-driven-solutions to banks, broker-dealers, mutual funds, and corporations globally. Systems and services include investor communication solutions, securities processing and operations, providing the infrastructure enabling the financial services industry to operate.

This Financial Controller role is a new position as the firm looks to build out a best in class accounting and controls organisation as part of continued international expansion.

Financial Controller Role Summary:

- Owning the monthly and quarterly reporting close processes
- Running the annual statutory reporting for the European operations
- Managing all corporate areas in Europe alongside US specialist teams, notably treasury and cash flow, tax, accounting, systems and controls.
- Compliance
- Develop efficient systems and control processes to mitigate risk including in complex cross border transactions
- Ensure compliance with all legal finance and statutory requirements including corporate tax, VAT, transfer pricing, statutory accounting and reporting, SOX and GAAP (US and local)
- Client contract reviews, to ensure tax compliant and provide GAAP implications of structure
- Coordinate all company secretarial activities with professional advisors
- Continuous improvement
- Leading to improved productivity through technological means and offshoring

- Incorporating the development of associates and striving for personal development continuously.
- Highly visible role within the organization dealing with senior management in the US and the UK organisations

Skills and Experience

Qualified Accountant (ACA preferred) with at least 8 years post qualified experience, strong technical skills with a track record in team management

Ideally experience of working with a multinational Corporate

Experience in a Fast Paced Technology Sector as a Financial Controller, Software Preferred

Ideally experience working within multisite partially offshored finance structure

Prior experience of M&A integration would be advantageous, but not essential

The credibility to deal with senior managers and liaise with Corporate
